if the light is shining threw then you need to replace the screen because the screen popped off of the back-light or the LDC shield on the back of the screen broke or came off, either way I would recommend replacing the screen battery and every thing on the display assembly

You could put it in to another iPhone and try but if the logic board or memory is damaged your out of luck
