  • Work your way down the edge to be sewn, pining the two pieces of fabric together.

  • The closer the pins are, the more stable the fabric will be. However, you will have to stop to remove each pin as you sew. If you're just getting started, use a pin every inch or two of fabric.

Avanzare lungo il bordo che si intende cucire fissando i due lembi di tessuto con gli spilli.

Più spilli si usano, più fissi rimarranno i due strati di tessuto, ma è bene considerare che durante la cucitura bisognerà fermarsi in corrispondenza di ogni spillo e rimuoverlo. Per chi è alle prime esperienze di cucito, si consiglia di distanziare gli spilli di 2,5 o 5 cm.
