    • Remove all the screws with the spanner and Phillips screwdrivers.

    • Take off the mixer heads.

    • Push the eject button to do so.

    • Put the mixer in mode 5.

    • Gently open the mixer.

    • The spring might jump loose!!

    • Remove the eject button by carefully lifting it out.

    • Remove the cable holder using the Phillips screw driver.

    • Remove the screw holding the mode button.

    • Carefully lift out the electrical unit.

    • Remove the locking rings from the back end of the gears.

    • Use 2 screwdrivers to apply force on both sides of the locking rings.

    • Lift the gears from encapsulant.

    • Replace gears.

    • Reassemble the mixer.

    • Happy mixing!

Thats what I want to know too. I have a Hamilton Beach hand mixer. The gears look the same as the one shown in this article

On it now. Let's hope we don't need to buy Cheap-China-plastic. Ideal of course would be to find metal gears, that would last whole life (if not motor breaks).

I also need to find a manufacturer of cog drive train wheels, that could do custom made, tailored, because if you refurbish a vintage handmixer you need parts that are not manufactured or in circulation anymore.
