Background
From their ATIV laptop computer line, Samsung Electronics Inc. introduced the ATIV Book 9 Plus, as part of the 3rd generation of ATIV laptop computers, in London on August 22, 2013. The ATIV Book 9 had been released two years prior, but has since developed different specifications for models that have arisen since the line's initial release. To identify the model you have, look at the bottom of the laptop and find the product sticker with the model number. The specifications for this specific model are below:
- 1.6 GHz Intel Core i5 processor
- 128GB Solid State Drive (SSD) storage
- 13.3-Inch Touch Screen
- 4GB DDR3L SDRAM
- Screen Resolution - 3200 x 1800
- Windows 8
- 2 USB ports

Identification
The Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus only comes in an aluminium enclosure material and is the only laptop in the line with a touchscreen. In order to verify that your laptop is an ATIV Book 9 Plus, you may visit the Control Panel located in the Windows Start menu, click System and Security, click System, and view the name of your computer model (which should state Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus or Samsung NP940X3G).
