The HyperX Cloud III (wired) is a gaming headset released in June 2023 as part of the long‑running Cloud series. It uses a metal headband, large over‑ear earcups, and memory‑foam cushions, following the same general construction as earlier Cloud models.

The headset relies on angled 53 mm dynamic drivers and a detachable 10 mm microphone with built‑in noise reduction and an LED mute indicator. Because it uses a standard 3.5 mm analog connection, it works across most platforms without additional software, including PCs, PlayStation and Xbox consoles, the Nintendo Switch, and devices with a headphone jack.

There are currently no known recalls for this model, and it remains part of HyperX’s active wired headset lineup.

You can distinguish the HyperX Cloud III headset from others by looking for the plain hinge and logo on the headphones.

This HyperX device is identified by model number 727A9AA. Although it is not visible on the headset, you can easily find it on the box.
