Background and Identification
Announced on April 21, 2026, the Framework 13 Pro is a compleate redesign of Framework's iconic 13 inch notebook, while still maintaining it's focus directly on upgradability and repairability.
This redesign brings a significant improvement in battery life with the introduction of Intel's Core Ultra series 3 processors, a new battery with a whopping 74-watt-hour battery life, and LPCAMM2 memory. The Framework 13 Pro also features a full CNC aluminum chassis, a power-optimized display with touch screen support, haptic touchpad, and offers for pre-loaded Ubuntu.
The Framework 13 Pro still offers the buildable DIY Edition or a fully-assembled unit with the DIY Edition starting at $1,199 for the Intel Core Ultra Series 3 with the option to bring your own OS, SSD, Wi-Fi card, and/or RAM. Users can also order a Pre-built 13 Pro starting at $1,499. Alternitivly the new Framework 13 Pro's mainboard and display kit follow the same form factors and interfaces as Frameworks previous standard 13 inch laptop. This means users who already own a Framework 13 can drop a new Framework 13 Pro board and display into a pre-existing chassis.
