@alantordoff possibly an issue with the battery having discharged below it's charging threshold. That basically means that the battery has discharged to a point where it no longer accepts a charge. I would start of with a new battery. Use this guide Sony WH-1000XM4 reservebatterij vervangen for that.
A new battery will also give you a known well starting point should it become necessary to troubleshoot further. If the new battery doesn't fix this, you will need to check the charging port and charging circuit.
