Unfortunately, it sounds as if your LCD will need to be replaced. This can happen from general LCD failure to damage. If you dont have a warranty, find a reputable local shop that fixes these or buy the part from iFixit and watch one of their repair guides.

Is it 'Half black' in the same position all the time? Sounds like the LCD has failed.
