Power supply not working

Does the Power LED not turn on at all or is blinking when you press the power button?

Here's the service reference guide that may help to find out what's wrong.

If the Power LED doesn't turn on at all:

Go to page 170 of 216 in the guide and follow the Troubleshooting Without Diagnostics > System does not power on and the LEDs on the front of the computer are not flashing checks.

If the Power LED blinks:

Count the number of times that the Power LED blinks before it pauses and starts to blink the same number of times again.

Once you know the blink count, go to page 160 of 216 in the guide to the POST Diagnostic Front Panel LEDs and Audible Codes section and scroll down the pages to find the paragraph which is relevant to the number of Power LED blinks that are shown when trying to start the computer, to see what to check.
