Repair guides and service information for Kenmore Dishwashers

Need help with leaking door

I have an old Kenmore Dishwasher, 665.13693N412 that is leaking at the bottom of the door.

The water is coming in on the right side of the door as the lower spray arm spins around and moves to the left, where it overflows and spills over the left edge, see video. As far as I can tell, the water overflow cycle is in sync with the spinning of the lower spray arm

Did some research and the door gasket seemed like a likely candidate. I replaced it, but it was a little short. How far should the gasket extend on the bottom of the tub, see image of overlap. There is minimal overall on the left side, since the water flow is originating at the right. But this did not help.

Any suggestions as to what's causing this?

Hi @markkyprianou

Looking at the following videos, the door seal doesn't extend past the bottom of the door opening.

video 1, video 2,

Wonder if you got the correct seal (aka gasket) for your model. The part number shown in both videos i.e. W10864081 is the one used for the seal in your model dishwasher.

Creates a watertight seal between your dishwasher's tub and door, preventing leaks during operation. Afbeelding
