@valerieraewebb your question is confusing. Your phone battery will (should) be charged by the charger that you connect to your phone. Use something like this video to see how to change the battery.

Now, if your battery does not charge while it is installed in your phone, the issue could be the charging board. Step 6 on this guide will show you how to get to that.
