Zoom and shutter button doesn't work anymore

What happened was my camera got dropped on the floor upside down and ever since, the zoom button is stuck and doesnt move or work anymore and has lost its spring back mechanism also the shutter button doesnt doesnt take any photos unless you press kind of hard and doesnt act the way a button does like no click or anything just pressing down and hoping for the best. I feel like it could be a simple fix but i dont want to do something that i regret.

(also my camera says that its a L29 model but i clicked L26 because there was no option for my camera im not sure if that makes a huge difference though)

@kimora24 one good thing about the Coolpix L- series cameras is, that they are all very similar to disassemble. I would suggest that you take a look at the repair manual for the L20.You can find it now under the Documents Tab on this page Nikon Coolpix L20 Check your button bar and hopefully that is where the error is and not that you have cracked the top PCB.

If you have any problems taking your camera apart, you can always post some pictures of where the hang-up is :-) with your Question. That way we can see what you see and hopefully we can assist you in getting your camera working again. Voeg afbeeldingen toe aan een bestaande vraag

While you work on your camera, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit.
