F02 Error Code - Replaced the Drain pump

After the F02 error code, I opened the bottom compartment. Drained the washer, found tons of coins and gunk in the coin trap and cleaned them out. Ran it again and still got the F02 code with water not draining. Replaced the drain pump with brand new pump, ran it and still got same code with water not draining.

Update (02/11/25)

I also do not hear the drain pump turn on.

Hi @jeremym11945

Here's the tech sheet for the washer that may help.

Go to p.13 to view the wiring diagram for the washer.

The pump connects from Control board connector DP2 pins 1 & 2

Check if there's 120V AC on the pump when it's supposed to be turned on.

If it is there then check the pump winding for continuity. It could be a faulty pump. It happens.

If not there check on the Control board DP2 pin 2.

If not there it could be a problem in the Control board

I've confirmed that the new pump does not have power. its faulty. Where can I purchase a pump that works?

Not sure what you mean by the "new pump does not have power".

Does this mean that there's no 120V AC at the pump motor terminal when there should be or that there is and that the pump is not working?

If there is and it's not working did you check that the Neutral terminal on the pump motor has continuity to the Neutral multiple or check that you measured 120V AC directly across the pump motor input terminals and it wasn't working?

If the pump motor is faulty, according to this parts supplier the original part number for the pump motor was 8182821 which has been superseded by 280187.

The links are just supplier examples only to show that both are still available somewhere.

Search online for either part number, to find suppliers that suit you best.

As to finding one that works, perhaps check the seller's website about returns etc if the replacement pump is DOA. They should work but it is not unknown that a faulty part has been returned and then hasn't been fixed before being sent out again to a different customer.

As I said, unfortunately it happens. You can only go on the reputation of the seller (check reviews online) and your gut instinct. Accepting returns is a good start as some don't.

I've tried 2 different pumps now. I had a Sears repair man come and tested the first pump with the power tester to show that it did not have power. I ordered another pump from parts select, ran it and received the same F02 error code.

@jeremym11945

When you say that you ran the new pump, did you test it first outside the machine before installing it or that you ran the machine with it installed and it didn't work?

Did you check if power is being supplied by the control board, you didn't say?
