Try moving the screen back and forth gently see it stops and starts in certain positions. If that made no difference it’s difficult to diagnose. Was it dropped at all or anything? It could be a screen issue, a board issue, screen connector issue, even an interference issue. A picture might help.

What’s that sound? It seems like what ever that noise is, is causing the screen interference!?

That's not laptop noise its just flickering like that

door

The flickering is happening as the noise changes what is causing that sound it looks like interference from whatever that is. Does it happen if you unplug the laptop from the wall. Listen carefully and watch the video again you’ll see what I mean.

I had it caused by a fan that was oscillating in my room once!

Switch off the noise maker..screen should be fine 🤞

Hi @nick91576

Try connecting an external monitor (TV?) to the laptop's HDMI port and check what the the laptop's display is like when seen on the monitor. Don't forget to press the F8 (or Fn+ F8) keys to extend the display to the monitor.

If the monitor display is OK it's either the edp cable or the LCD panel in the laptop.

Did the problemt stop if you slowly moved the lid or not even occur if you changed the position of the lid slightly, you never said?

If moving the lid or the lid position doesn't stop it from occurring then most likely the LCD panel will need to be replaced.

There are 3 different LCD panels available for your laptop depending on how it is configured:

LCD 14.0' FHD EDP (Full High Definition) p/n 18010-14041800

LCD 14.0' FHD VWV EDP (Full High Definition wide vision) p/n 18010-14053400

LCD 14.0' HD US EDP LED (High Definition) p/n 18010-14003300

Here's a video that shows how to replace the LCD panel in an E410MA series laptop. Usually the part number can be found on the back of the LCD panel if you wish to verify which one you've got, before ordering a replacement. Search online for the part number applicable to your model variant, to find suppliers that suit you best.

@nick91576 If it occurs on both displays it is either a GPU problem (but I think that the GPU in your laptop is integrated in with the CPU and not a discrete one) so unlikely, a driver problem (have you checked that the graphics drivers are the latest version?) a ram problem (does it only occur when using programs requiring a lot of hardware e.g. games, CAD programs etc or also when just surfing the web? Does it occur when getting into BIOS and leaving it there to check?.

The thing is to try and isolate when it occurs e.g. using specific programs, when laptop is on but not doing anything, when OS is loaded or not (BIOS) or even when starting in safe mode etc and see if you can either stop it or make it happen depending on whatyou're doing at the time.

If still no good it maybe a motherboard problem. (has the laptop been dropped or gotten wet at all?
