Removing iCloud Activation lock via NAND shorting

Hello,

I would like to research the possibility of removing icloud activation locks by shorting specific pins on the nand flash. The idea is that the icloud lock lives in a specific place in the nand and by permanently shorting those specific pins to ground not only removing the activation lock, but preventing it from being icloud locked ever again assuming that this could be done. The question is whether or not this has been attempted and what the potential for this kind of hardware bypass is. Nothing is impenetrable, and with the right tools, knowledge and research, a fix could be made in my opinion. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
