My 2ds works great when the rear camera is disconnected but as soon as I plug it in the 2ds wont power on. I tried putting in a new rear camera and that didn't help.

@scarlettlane333 if this is a reliable camera, and if it continues the same issues as the old one, check the connector. Make sure there are no bend/broken/corroded pins. After that it gets tricky, since we would need the schematics for the motherboard. Post some GOOD pictures of your board (both sides) and in particular the camera connector.
