Galaxy S7 32gb (black) is not turning on

Hello,

Last night I took this phone out of my draw and put in the Qi charge it said ~50%. I hastily took it off Qi charge and tried to turn it on but it wouldn't turn on.
I then put it back on Qi charge and it was saying 0% but I noticed the phone was getting quite hot. Now when I put it back on Qi charge it doesn't light up at all nor does it get hot.

I also tried holding down the lower volume key while pressing power on for 10 seconds but it still didn't turn on.

I have cleared out the lint using a sim tool so that I could put the micro USB charger in but it still doesn't light up.

It is drawing 5.15v .49A as shown:

It's not really the phone I need but a google authentication code.

Do I need to tear it down and test the battery and other connections? Other than my iFixit kit and a hairdryer what do I need? I also have a 27 piece smart phone repair kit. I figure I may need some IPA and a syringe too.

I would like to test this on other phones of the same model first

@chris33081 if it heats up, you want to stop trying to charge it. This could cause your battery to "vent with flame". At minimum start with replacing your battery. Samsung Galaxy S7 Vervanging van de batterij shows you how and what tools you need for it.

Hi @chris33081, as @oldturkey03 said, stop charging it and definitely look into a battery replacement. I have had some S7s fail in the past due to failed nand, which can also cause the phones to heat up quite a bit. Battery is still definitely a good starting point, however.
