I would like to recycle the phone,but how do I make sure info is no longer there. I don’t have a charger so I can’t see what’s on it. Will removing the battery be sufficient ?

cbreu419, You will need to find a way to power the phone up, in order to reset it to factory and thus deleting the information that is stored in the phone. Removing the battery will no delete the information that might be on the phone.
There are many places online that sells chargers for obsolete phones.

You can also just drill through the NAND if you just plan on recycling it. That would probably be the easiest option if you don’t have the charger.
