Used to not hold a charge so changed battery but not powering up now

So my controller did get caught in a flood but it was working fine aside from no longer holding a charge. I opened it up to replace the battery and now it is no longer powering on even after its connected to power. Is there any other parts that could be the cause? I see some slight corrosion on pins and I'm thinking the dirt and building in there was what was keeping it getting power.

@robertadams313 Yes, looks like a bit of corrosion, etc. you do want to completely disassemble your controller. Then remove the board and clean all of it with a high grade (+90%) isopropyl alcohol. Use something like this guide Repairing iPhone Liquid Damage for the cleaning. It was written for an iPhone but all the points made, are pertinent to your controller as well. Check for burned, missing or otherwise "odd" looking components. Once everything is properly cleaned give it another try. Water damage is the hardest to repair since virtually any part can fail.

So I cleaned out any corrosion I found on the boards and now it’s back to turning on only when plugged in. I replaced the pins that directly touch the battery as well as the battery itself.
