Window 11 pro BIOS - cannot find wakeup timer option

The bios layout/menus are completely different than what ive experienced in the past. I have been through all the options, set WLAN wakeup to enable, however i cannot find where i tick the 'Days' boxes and set wake up time. It really is not there/available.

Hope someone can help

Hi @monty_a2,

Is the wake on WLAN feature working or is it that it doesn't work at all?

If it works but there's no time options available, then if you have an EilteOne 800 G8 (you didn't specify the model) OS Win 11 22H2 then there a BIOS update dated Nov. 8/2022 but it doesn't mention adding selectable times to this feature. There were previous BIOS updates in August and June as well. Maybe worth checking what version you have, just in case it was added.

FYI on p.71 of the maintenance and service manual it only mentions that the feature can be enabled or disabled.

If it doesn't work at all try disabling S5 Maximum Power Savings. In BIOS go to Advanced > Power Management Options > S5 maximum Power savings > disable save the changes etc

What is the full model number of the PC?

Asking as it shows in the manual I linked above for an EliteOne 800 G8

I also have another question, I have another PC that i have managed to set the bios wakeup days and time. but when it wakes the screen goes black and i have to wiggle the mouse to wake it up. For the system i am running I cannot allow this. i have changed power options for 'turn of display' to NEVER and sleep mode to NEVER but still i have the issue. Any ideas ?

@monty_a2

Check if 'allow wake timers" is enabled in Power options

Go to Control Panel > Power options > change plan settings > change advanced power settings > sleep > allow wake timers > enable > apply (if necessary)
