Randomly while I’m using my laptop ( ASUS Vivobook F412DA) the internet will randomly disconnect and I will have to restart my laptop to get the internet to start working again. Does anyone know a fix?

Hi,

Have you checked that the latest WLAN drivers Ver. V2024.0.10.130 are installed?

Click on Please choose to select the laptop model and then select the OS but the WLAN drivers are the same for Win 10 and Win 11.

To check the version that you have already go to Device Manager - Network Adapters - click on the > symbol to the left of the category to expand the list - right click on the Realtek WLAN adapter entry - Properties - Driver tab.

You can either download the drivers and install them manually or click on Device Manager - Network Adapters - click on the > symbol to expand the list - right click on the Realtek WLAN adapter entry - Update driver and follow the prompts. You need to be online for this option to work.

To get to Device Manager, press the Win key and the x key (both together) and then click on the Device Manager link.

If the problem still happens after updating the drivers try using the laptop as close as possible to the network router and check if the connection remains stable. If so it may be an antenna problem.
