iPad not turning on after LCD + Screen replacement

I replaced the digitizer and the LCD on my ipad 5 and it was working perfectly fine. After a couple of days I noticed the adhesive had come off and having a bought some strong tapes, I decided to redo the work. I switched off the ipad and removed the old adhesive which came off easily and before testing just to be cautious, I connected the LCD and the digitizer cables and it would not turn on. I tried hard resetting without any luck and the device is also not being recognized by itunes in my PC. I am really disappointed as I had it working like a charm and suddenly its being snatched away. Are there any ways to try or is it completely dead?

Check for missing components around the connectors.

@tech_ni thank you for the suggestion, I am looking around the LCD and digitizer connectors and it seems normal to me. Could you tell me what components or where to look out for as I may not be looking correctly. I also noticed the board gets warm while on charge occasionally and tried resetting while on charge and still no luck.

hello Wilbus,

did you disconnect the battery while working? If not, you made a short circuit in the video line by connecting the lcd matrix. You probably burned the filter coil in the screen's power line (this still happens). The tablet will not start up with such a short circuit, in addition, it quickly drains the battery, producing some heat. If you don't know anything about microelectronics, find a good repair shop, you can't do it yourself. Usually, people with no experience, when connecting the screen, try to hit the video connector, move the plug to the left and right. Unfortunately, this sends a current of 16-18V to signal lines, which are rated for 1-5V. The effect is just like on your tablet. A tip for the future - always disconnect the power source when working with electrical and electronic equipment. In a good repair shop, the service understands such cases and does not try to finish the owner with large costs. The repair is light and fairly inexpensive, and should not exceed $ 20 if the screen has not been damaged.
