Hi @klutz101 ,
What is the model number of the washer?
If water is still entering the tub even though the washer is turned off it appears as though there may be a problem with one of the water inlet solenoids (electrically operated to open but mechanically closed when power removed, valves) in the washer.
Try turning off the hot and cold water supply taps (faucets) that the washer water supply hoses are connected to and then open each one, in turn, to determine which water supply, hot or cold and therefore which inlet solenoid, is causing the problem.
If the solenoid is faulty it cannot be repaired, it has to be replaced
Knowing the model number will help to find the correct parts.
Hi @klutz101
Here’s how to find the model number.
If the water stopped entering when the machine was turned off, then it appears that the inlet solenoids are both OK.
Water still entering during a load could mean that there is a problem with the washer’s water level pressure switch or the water level pressure switch hose.
Regarding the machine shaking during the spin cycle. Make sure that the washer is level and steady on the floor by adjusting the feet so that there is no rocking motion, side to side or corner to corner or back to front when pushing down on the machine with your hand on the sides or front etc. To check if it is level and if you haven’t got a spirit level use a glass jug and half fill it with water and place it on the lid of the machine and check if the water is level in the jug.
