@chiarisx1 explain or show this " I have a splitter " a bit better. Why would yo uneed a splitter? What mic and earphones are you planning on using with this? Post some good pictures of that with your question so that we can see what you are planning. Voeg afbeeldingen toe aan een bestaande vraag

It sounds more like an incompatibility issue here than a real hardware issue.

@oldturkey03 added pics to original post. Need the splitter so I can use both at the same time. The mic has better sound then the earphones.

@chiarisx1 this could be an issue with the wiring of the adapter. CTIA wiring goes like this (starting at the tip)

Tip

Left channel

Ring 1

Right channel

Ring 2

Ground

Sleeve

Microphone

OMTP wiring goes like this

Left channel

Ring 1

Right channel

Ring 2

Microphone

Sleeve

Ground

Samsung in the past used OMTP wiring whereas Apple iPhone and Motorola Moto phones used CTIA. How adventurous are you in taking the splitter apart? It looks like the brass inserts are screwed into the blue sleeves. A pair of pliers to hold the brass and another pair to turn the blue barrel should do the trick. Then you can use a meter to figure out of the wiring will support your idea.

Im game, im out right now but will do it when I get home and get back to you thanks

Ok are you talking about the one with the 3 rings on it?

door

yes the one with the male part first. The Blue barrel should be screwed onto the brass male jack. Hold the brass part and try turning the barrel left hand side to turn it off. Don't force it onr anything. The same would need to be done with the headphone and mic female part. Hold the brass parts with some pliers and try to move the blue barrel by turning it left hand side to screw it off. You want the brass parts to be stationary since those are where the cable is soldered to.

door

@oldturkey03 ok I did it but the female ends the brass part came right off and I don't see anything in there. Gonna try and Post Pic s below.

@chiarisx1 sorry had to work late. Do you see any wires soldered or is this still covered with the bottom part? Hard to tell if the blue barrel is made of two piece. See that groove in pic 1 close to your thumb. Is that just a marking or is it possible that this is a two part barrel? Can you push the wire up through the barrel? Tough to fix things remotely so bear with us. There maybe a lot of back and forth but we usually can get things done by everyone working together :-)
