What does the car do when you try to start? Does the engine turn over? Does it just click? Have you double checked the distributor from when you removed the cap?

Nancy Diaz what exact year and engine size is your civic? What exactly have you already replaced? How and where did you check "the water is not going thought the hoses at all " this? How and where did you flush the engine? How long doe sit take for it to overheat? You did check your fan?

Is the clicking similar to when the battery is dead? If so maybe try jumping it off. There is always a chance the battery happened to go dead while you were working on it. The coolant sensor would not cause the car to not start, although something with the distributor may have.

The thermostat may need to be replaced if car is getting too hot.

The new one may not be opening or installed upside down.

Blue Devil is to be used without the thermostat in place.

The thermostat may be stuck shut as a result of the additive.

I took it out before i put it in
