How to purge the hydrostatic transmission
Clear as mud. Pictures would help us all. Where is the lever? the gear lever or another lever near the axle under the battery? Mark did this help you i have the same problem, if i jack up the rear end the wheels move a little but not enough to move the mower without anyone on it. The mower has sat for year before i got it.

what make and model is your mower? Have you identified what model your transaxle is? Post some good pictures of your transaxle etc. with your question.
