Backlight Problem after Display Replacement
I recently replaced the battery and display on my daughter's Nano 5g after it went through the wash. The battery was tricky with the solder points being so close, but I was able to get it connected.
I replaced the display as well, since the backlight was not coming on. Unfortunately, the new display is doing the same thing. I can see the menus faintly and it plays music fine, but I was hoping to get the display working again.
From what I can tell, the display only connects to the mainboard in one place, that is to say there are no other contact points I am missing? The only other suspicious thing is that I had a very tiny spring pop out when I disassembled the nano and I cannot determine where it came from. I cannot find any reference to a spring in any of the teardown guides that I found on the web.
Any suggestions that might help.
I have tried resetting the ipod as well as changing the backlight options in settings with no luck. Could the backlight controller on the mainboard be fried?
Is dit een goede vraag?
