Battery is not charging

My MacBook Pro 17”, mid 2010 model is not charging.

I’ve switched out 2 batteries.

I’ve tried multiple mag safe power supplies. The Mag safe light is green.

I’ve pzapped the ram and SMC

My Mac repair guy thinks it’s a logic board issue and wants to charge me $250/hr to start looking around.

Any suggestions?

@kylet are those original Apple batteries? Anything happened to the MBP prior to? Can you give us the 820-XXXX number of your logic board? If your battery comes back as being okay, we may have you check the ISL etc. of your computer.

Sorry for the slow delay. I work in the entertainment business and am in the middle of a pretty large event.

The first one was an HWG replacement for 17" A1309 7.4v 95Wh. The mac repair place I went to said sometime the batteries are less than perfect. So the second battery was an Apple battery.

I dont know what the MBP is.

Is there a way to find the number of the logic board without opening up the mac again?

Now my menu bar is showing charge at 100%, but when I unplug my power, the laptop instantly dies. If I go to aaple/about/system report/power, the is shows not charging and nort charged.

Lets get a better handle on the batteries. Download this great app: CoconutBattery depending on your OS you may need to older version. Lets see what is says. Post a screen shot of the main window here for us to see: Voeg afbeeldingen toe aan een bestaande vraag. Do one with the charger plugged in and a second with the battery. As you have a few batteries do them as well hopefully you’ve ID’ed them so we can tell which is which.

I'd be happy to post pics, but this is my first time on this site. Under options, I see onl;y permalink and history, no option to edit.

the screen shot of the system report is with the power plugged in and Apple battery installed. When I bought the battery it had about an 85% charge. Needless to say over a few hours the battery drained down to 0%.
