I might be wrong, but this is a recently released speaker. Is this correct?
If so there is an 18 month limited manufacturer's warranty on the speaker.
I suggest that you verify the purchase date of the speaker and if the warranty period is still valid then consult the warranty statement (usually found in the User Guide) If you can't find the User Guide here is a link. (Scroll to the bottom of the guide to find the customer service contact information)

yes its new product, sadly I bought from outside my country so local warranty does not cover. And they 90% refund.

Use a magnifying glass and a strong light to check that the USB charging port enclosure is clear and free from dust and lint and that all the pins are straight and parallel with each other. If there is lint etc, in the enclosure use a vacuum cleaner to suck it out as you don't want to damage the pins by using a probe. If you have to use a probe use a wooden toothpick.
Have you tried charging it by connecting it to a PC or using a mobile phone charger? Perhaps the charger is faulty and not the speaker.
let me try you`re suggestion for clean port USB.
I`ve been try charger via laptop but still no luck, speaker can not turn on.
bought June of 2017, unit failed in Oct. Contacted Anker and they sent me a new speaker, that unit worked for about 6weeks and then it failed too. After swapping emails, Anker offered either the Boost model as a replacement or I could wait for the release of the new SoundCore Pro Plus (+) which I opted to do, a month later and my new unit is on the way with instructions to recycle the failed 2nd unit.

Yeah i have the same problem. I guess Anker has a problem on this product. It really made me sad cause i bought it on cyber monday discount and waited for a month almost then used only once then i put it charge all night. In the morning i realized it was so hot and never turn on again.. Only one led is blinking when i put it on charge..
I bought it on AliExpress and Anker refund me %100 (as they said %100 but they didnt give me shipping anyway).. Do you have any idea how to open it? Maybe i can fix it?
If you want to buy this speaker it is better to choose local sellers.. Dont Buy it worldwide cause as i understand they dont have worldwide replacement guaranty. In my country they have a supplier but they didnt accept my replacement offer..

I have similar problem here. Can you share how to open the speaker?
The top with buttons is glued. Just carefully take it off with a sharp knife (attention: only lift it on the edge of the metall body so you don't harm the board or cable inside)
Next step I took the knife and cutted between metall and plastic body on all 4 sides. To get the metall of just squeez 2 knifes on one long side between metall and plastic and pull the metall of.
Next you need a phillips screw driver for all the screws on the top electronic board and the bottom plastic bottom.
Now you can have a look from both sides of the box.
Some questions:
What voltages do you measure on the battery? I had 8.3V on the battery but the battery sais 3.7V on the sticker!!!!
If i desolder the battery and attach a power supply, the box immediately drains current without pushing the start button! Do you have the same behaviour?

I have the same problem. I bought 2. One is doesn't charge nor power on and the other is not discoverable by bluetooth devices and produces no sound when i turn it on/off.

My device was not charging, got a new device from Anker 3 days later. I disassembled the broken device. There are 2x16850 batteries in parallel (1S2P config) and a small protection PCB between them with blue shrink tube all around the pack. I replaced the protection PCB with a new one (8205a type, 5A) and it worked again. Unfortunately, could not fit it back into the small case again, so built a new one from nylon slats and gaffer tape^^

Opened mine up and there are two flat battery cells in series, both with a capacity of 4000mah.
Cant find a replacement Part anywhere tho...
I am 100% sure that it is the same speaker. Maybe they improved it a bit and now use LiPo batteries. But those in the picture have been taken out ouf the brand new, not working, speaker.
Hello all! Yes, the speaker worked after i replaced the PCB.
If you have access to Amazon, just type pcb 18650 (18650 is the battery type) and look for one that supports 3.7V and 5A. I found a 4-pack for 10 Euro just now.
guys i think this may help you i tried to change the cable that came with the speaker and i used my samsung galaxy s7 edge cable and it worked i think the problem is not from the speaker or the battery problem its from the soundcore pro charging cable i wish it will solve your problem becouse its such a pain for a 140$ speaker peace✌

Hi, a think the problem is related to the charger amperage.
If you check the label below it says "max 1".
Check your charger output and it is major to 1 amp. That's probably the cause.

Hello Dear,
The speaker has an issue with battery voltage. It has an overall Battery of 7.4 V ( not sure if they connected battery in series by mistake). Please charge it with 9V charger. The charger output has to be converted to USB type to match speaker charger input. I used 9V ( 600mA) charger . It fully charged my Speaker in around 4 hours.
( Normally USB chargeable battery are 3.7V . because They have connected two 4000mAH LI -ion battery in series. So standard USB charger cant charge it. )
Other option could be to use Motorola turbo charger ( I have not tested this option). It has below rating. It should also work , and possibly charge very fast too.
Turbo charger output:
- Standard: 5V / 1.67A (8W)
- TurboPower: 9V / 1.67A (15W)
- TurboPower: 12V / 1.2A (15W)

I tried my Motorola Turbo charger- nothing. No lights, no charge, My speaker is still an expensive black brick. It only worked for a few months, and my partner threw out the receipt from Walmart where he purchased it. Anker really needs to address the issues with their speakers, as the problems appear common and widespread.
Can you further explain what Kind of charger and cable you used.
I tried some Huawei charger which either charges with 5v 2a or 9v 2a but how should I froce it to charge with 9v?
Hey I've ordered a soundcore pro for a bargain price of 35€ on ali, got it after 3 week cool, but the device wasn't behvaing properly when plugged for charging. 1st light blinking, 2nd and 4th off 3rd half light..well a bad one. I got refunded quickly(with video proof) 100% without shipping . I knew there were some issues with this product before i ordered but the low price on it got me.. Im still happy because I own a soundcore2 that works pretty good I just wanted to level up.
Then after I got my refund without the need to send it back, I opened it and I found that the voltage reaching the power logic card was 0v ..then I picked the tension out of the battery and it was 6.3v smtg.. even it the wires were soldered to it and it comes that the (-wire) wasn't connected properly so I cut it and soldered where I could find a current.. Then guess what all the other parts turned from 0v to 6.3v.
Then I managed to power on the device but i had to get my finger on power button for the device to keep on.. if i removed it , it would shut down so I made a short circuit on that power button like a permanent switch.. And it could get on forever.
Now it works only with jack , bluetooth won't do anything . Charge indicators still not working still the 1st blinking and 3rd on.. permaplugged on usb, I'll try to get a charge on it and use it without usb but I still won't get any indication about its level.
Well I part repaired it.. but yeah it was crappy made. But not angry against Anker. They tried to make a good product for cheap and got f***ed up by their manufacturer.

Can you charge a soundcore rave neo by using the usb port . My speaker I just got looks like It has been dropped and the usb-c port is damaged but I'm hoping it still works. What can I do to fix it or is it even worth it. I'm hoping I can change it by using usb port so I don't have to mess around with fixing it cause I don't know how to do that

2021 and the soundcore boost and other models still won't last a year. they break. I love the warranty and customer service. Lost my receipt..would like to try and fix it. No one has any input on this yet? thanks
