How do I remove the shroud covering the A8 chip?

I and trying to revive my iPhone and I was wondering how to remove the shroud that covers the A8 chip?

Just curious...what are your plans once it is removed and you have access to the Processor. You definitely do not want to try and heat it or remove it...that is an extremely difficult IC to work with even for the most experienced techs in the business. What are you experiencing that makes you want to work with the IC?

Andy Somsak that is an EMI shield and those are soldered. You can try to use a soldering iron to get this removed or use some small scissors to cut it away and solder the rest off. It requires a bit of practice but can be done. Some people prefer a hot air rework gun with a small nozzle to do that. I seem to always heat up to many other components with that...;-)
