How do I deactivate the camera without touching BT or Airport

Hey guys!

I need to deactivate all the cameras of our MacBook Pros (confidantiality reasons). For the 15" version it works fine, but I had some issues with 13" camera cable.

Aiport and Bluetooth both seem to be on the same connector.

Does anybody have a clue, which pins need to be deactivated in order to shut down just the camera and still have Airport and BT fully functional?

Cheers

Florian

Update

The concerns are more client based... automotive industry totally does not like people to walk around with cameras in their laptops, ready to shoot the 1 billion dollar snapshot ;)

We have to commit to deactivate the camera not only in the software but also the hardware. Unforunatelly, there seems to be one connector on the logic board, which also supplies BT and Airport - which is a pain in the a**. I am searching for a way, to just deactivate the camera, and leave the rest as it is.

I'd love to find a way which is reversible on top of that, as the computers are leased.

My idea is, to disconnect some of the pins on the connector (cable side), which keeps BT and Airport up and running.

Any ideas gentleman?

Please give the last three letters of a serial number so we know EXACTLY which machine we are talking about. Thanks

thanks guys - I will go for the camera removal I guess. The low tech marker solution is not sufficient :(

The hard but decent way would be to remove the screen glass, pop out the camera and put the glass back on.

Is the concern here Robbins v. Lower Merion School District ? Can the fix be software or does it need to be hardware? Does it need to be reversible? The simple way would be to disconnect the camera cable connector from the logic board. For a permanent solution just clip the end of the connector off.

Heres a low tech solution. Black out the camera with permanent marker or paint. At the end of the lease use the appropriate solvent to remove the paint and you are back in business.
