iPhone does not vibrate with rocker switch

I recently Refurbished my iphone 3g. I replaced ALL components excluding the LCD & the logic board. Everything works fine, except:

When i use the Silent Rocker Switch it does not vibrate. The visual of the switch turning the phone on silent works, appearing on the screen, but it does not vibrate with the action. I cannot check to see if it would work with a call because the phone is not activated, as i have upgraded to the iphone 4. I was planning on giving the phone to my girlfriend after i fixed it, but she does'nt EVER use the ringer and only keeps her phone on vibrate( can be quite annoying), so this a necessary function for her. Any thoughts or suggestions, or better yet a solution? I have made sure that the motor is not obstructed. Thanks guys

Before throwing away a vibrate motor... Try lifting the 2 gold prongs or the little "tail springs" up slightly so they make better contact with the underside of the logic board. Also check that the tiny tabs holding vibrate in place are in their slots. I've found 9/10 this is the problem especially when changing covers!

Dude, i had the same problem with mine, its just an adjustment issue, dissasemble it over and make sure both screws that goes at the side of the batery and the vibrator are in there or if they're well attached to the case, if it is still not working, the vibrator must to be burned, that was my problem, i did the same than you, replaced all the external pieces and i dont know why it stoped working after 3 days. You must replace it right away to keep your girl! :) Good Luck dude!
