What caused this? Overload?

So that's it am I right in thinking this is an overload of electricity? I bought it to learn about fixing Samsung's but this doesn't look fixable to someone new like me. There's four burn marks inside the casing I'm not sure what their function is yet the worst one is next to the battery were a tiny piece seems to have come off as well. There is no corrosion so i was thinking not water damage? Or could this be done by something else? Is this recoverable /fixable? Tnx

@bobbobbob that looks like it could have been caused by anything that created a short circuit. It might be fixable but for that you will definitely have to post more pictures that are closer and clearer to where the scorch marks are.

Update (01/24/2017)

Thank you for the pictures. On closer examination it looks like you burned a lot of the inductors and other components on the board. It also shows that your BT/WiFi IC is burned up. You could try and replace each component as well as the flex cables, but there may be burned traces as well. If you want to you can clean the board and see what other damage there might be. This is pretty intensive and may not be fixable without going in way deeper than you can.

Ah ok yes that's what I guessed ...I had almost given up as I'm not at this level yet. I am possibly going to swap out the motherboard if I think I can do it. I was after an analysis as well because I only just got it so I wasnt sure. I've now seen water damage so I can see the difference. And I guess this was a big overload so it will take a lot to fix...Tnx
