iPhone 6s Camera Not Working. Missing resistors?

Hi guys, I recently dropped my 6s with a case on, and now both cameras and flash aren't working. I opened it up for inspection and noticed that there are multiple pads without a resistor on top of them. It is C5313_RF and C5314_RF. Is it possible to jump these? I'm fairly competent with a soldering iron and will buy a micro tip if needed.

For anyone that happen to have the same problem, replacing the camera with a known working one fixed the issue.

Glad to hear that this solves the problem, however I'm curious does it solve the issue with the front camera as well as the flash?

door

Yeah it solved all of my issues.

First, check in the schematic to make sure they are definitely not "no stuff" components, where nothing is supposed to be located.

Don't jump them, just find out the value of these and order them from farnell/mouser/digikey, or remove the same value component from another dead board (if you have one about)

Thanks for the help. Thats what I'm here for, to find out if these are supposed to be blank, and if they have any control of the camera power supply.

The problem is that Apple has really good lawyers who love to hassle websites that post Apple schematics.

Google "iphone 6s schematic" and you will find the schematic. Looks like 5313 and 5314 are both 22pf, 5%, 50V.

But If I'm reading it right, and lord knows I mess up, it looks like 5313 and 5314 are for the NFC system.

door

Well if it's for the NFC system, I shouldn't worry too much about it. Hopefully it doesn't control the camera

NTC is the thermistor line for the thermal contact pad. in this case the camera. do not confuse NC non contact for NTC thermistor temperature control. caps are there to store energy. high value 10uf will enable a demand storage. lower values in the picofarad range stabilize a voltage jumping to ground will only reduce resistance causing failure

There is "no stuff" on those http://imgur.com/a/vJWud. Is camera just blank and frezzes when you switch between them, or it switches normally just both are blank?

Also those are suppose to be capacitors, would not be a good idea to jump them, you will create a short

Thank you for the photo. The cameras are both just a black screen, and the flash doesn't even respond. I don't even really know if it switches, but the app doesn't freeze at all

Usually if one camera doesnt work neither will in camera app. Try use facetime app and see if the front camera is working.

door

Confirmed not working with FaceTime app. Just shows my background when I make a call
