Something wrong with my lcd screen

When I was watching a show, I noticed that half of the screen looked kind of comic book-y and odd. I exited the window and the screen flashed to black for a second and I noticed that the bottom half of my screen had a green tinge. I could see a few horizontal lines running through it too. Now when I watch the show, I see flashes of purple and red and other colors that shouldn't be there. I haven't dropped my phone and it has no water damage or anything so idk what the problem is. Will I need to get a new screen?

Missshopsalot, If you just got the phone 3-4 months ago as stated in comments, Galaxy S4 is covered under warranty. Return as defective to place of purchase or contact Samsung for refund/exchange/repair. Good luck. Link for Samsung support below.

I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

Dial *#0#

cycle through the colours and see when the screen goes funny.

It does sound like the AMOLED display may be damaged but I would try updating/restoring just to elminate the chance of a software issue. Samsung offer 2 years warranty so will fix this problem free of charge, don't bother taking it to a repair shop as not only will it void your warranty but will cost you a fortune

It seems to me that your LCD is damaged, Have you had it replaced before, is it the stock screen? Also it could be a lose cable that connects to the lcd.

No, I've never replaced it before. I just got the phone three or four months ago.

@aidrod All your answers seem to be vague and really non informative. I have serious doubts about your experience. Just how many phones have you repaired? Do you even have a business license?

I see that just one person seems to mark all your answers up. Real techs like @joshw are voting down your answers. Do you have two account? Are you voting your own answers up? This seems to be a case of voter fraud.

@mayer he's not just giving vague answers, he's telling people they need to have their devices repaired and not try to fix them themselves. Even on something as simple as a charge port....

Something is fishy. I don't know what his goal is but something ain't right.

@joshw I think this is a case of an 8-10 year old pretending to be a repair shop and knowledgable. Let's give him the benefit of the doubt and assume his intentions are good and he is trying to help people but just doesn't have the ability yet. If that is the case, and we have some very young ones on here, like https://www.ifixit.com/User/1555092/Giga... who said right up front who and what they were and are now actually contributing. But as you know, answering questions well is a learning experience. We need to know if @aidrod could become a contributor or is just a PITA. His activity indicates he is only active during lunch time and after school. when he should be doing his homework,So he really needs to complete his profile and quickly. I notified @kay-kay about him yesterday on the voter fraud, so maybe she can handle this with a gentler hand.
