My lumia 1520 doesn`t charge. It can connect to a PC through USB. When it connects to a pc or charger, the battery icon is flashing and it won't lose power anymore. But in fact, it doesn't charge. I have reinstalled its software by using windowsphone recovery tool. But it still doesn't charge. I'd be truly grateful if you give me a hand.

@chilly100 it is possible that your USB port has some broken connection or the charging circuit on your phone has failed. It is also possible that your battery is not charging due to failed components in your battery. Replace the battery with a new one and re-evaluate.

I had the problem with a "replacement" battery on my Nokia 1520 only charging to roughly 81% capacity. It turned out the replacement battery was an after market item and not an OEM. Once the battery was replaced with an OEM (a little more expensive), the phone worked perfectly again. I tried all the obvious troubleshooting tricks and nothing worked except the OEM battery. It was $90 installed at a local computer repair center in Ohio (WGA - they accept repair items by mail http://wgacsc.com/refurbished%20and%20re...). The install took about an hour and hopefully I don't have to buy another expensive phone for a couple years.

I had this problem too. I had to open the phone up and I found that if you follow the cable of the charging port/battery all the way to its end (right over where the sim goes) it was disconnected. I held it down with my finger and it started charging instantly, after months of being dead. I cut a small piece of the card that the sim tray tool card and placed it right on top of it and underneath the tape and it charges now.

Probably better to get a new one and replace it but hey
i sold my 1520 for 40 bucks and am using my old 920 i just got tired of all the charging issues

I replace my old Battery with a new one but the new Battery does not Charege to 100% it always stop at 82 %. Tell me What to Do and the Battery still new

I had the same problem & I changed my battery. It's working good, but it's charging for82% only.

The battery of my Nokia 1520 windows phone cannot retain power anymore as after charging 100%, the power vanishes after few minutes of usage. What could be the likely cause of this problem?
