Why is the touchscreen not responding?

The touchscreen is either not responding accurately, or not responding at all to touch. I am not sure if it is just out of sync, or if it is something more serious.

You may have turned it off. Maybe not on purpose. Generally you have to push a function button. For example mine Is function f7
