Here is a step by step solution to change or turn off the camera's flash:

On the LCD screen, click on the tab located on the left border of the screen with your finger. This will display the setting controls
Select the flash icon (looks like a lightning bolt)
Select the desired flash icon mode
To turn off the flash, select the icon that has a circle strike-through around the lightning bolt. It is the middle icon of the 5 displayed.
Tap the back arrow button to return to the previous screen. The back arrow is located in the top right portion of the screen.
Click on the left tab arrow again to hide the setting controls.
