I would check all crucial components first. Does it pass the POST, is RAM functional and if the charger is in correct working order. There could potentially be plenty of problems, such as faulty screen, inverter or motherboard. You could consider finding a repair centre and get evaluation done for a repair costs.

The computer you can hear, that starts, but the screen is black, no lights.
There could be an issue with backlight inverter. If could be worth ordering a replacement and replacing it, to see if it brings back the backlight to your LCD.
