Phone overheating when camera is on

Hi,

I have a problem with my iPhone 5s. I dropped my iPhone and the screen was cracked. After the drop, my rear camera and flashlight stopped working. I thought if I replace the screen, the camera might start working again but no luck. If I try to turn them on, the top right corner of the phone gets extremely hot and I need to turn my phone off to stop the heat.

Anyone know what might be the problem and how to resolve that?

Sometimes on electronics the thermal paste can get dried up. Sometimes it's best to open it up, re-paste the thermal, and put it back together. Although what i think is happening is the camera is stuck on permanently and that is causing the heat ups. Hope that helps!

The camera part on ebay is about 10$.

Thanks for your reply. The flashlight is also not working. Do you think when I replace my rear camera, then it all should be OK?

The camera and the flash light are correlated parts. If camera stops working, the flashlight doesn't work either. Therefore, fixing camera issue resolves the flash light.
