I dropped PlayStation vita in water
It is now completely dead. The power button flashes 3 times orange when I plug in charger and that is all.

Robert Furnell, the very first thing you want to do is to stop trying to charge it or use it. Remove the battery and use this guide to disassemble your Vita. Then clean every part with 90%+ isopropyl alcohol and a small soft brush. Repeat this step a few times to make sure that you remove all debris and water. You can submerge the logicboard in the isopropyl alcohol. Check for any burned, charred, or missing components. Once properly cleaned. Leave it dry for a short time. Isopropyl alcohol in this concentration evaporates quickly. Do not use a hairdryer or fan since this can spread any residual debris.water under any IC and may cause further corrosion. Once it is properly cleaned, replace the battery and re-evaluate. Water damage is the hardest to diagnose and the hardest to repair since you never know which parts were affected. great way to down grade if you accidentally upgraded to 3.69 and to download henkaku
I hope this works because my ps vit has been dropped into water it started to work and then boom off so plz hope this works
lets say you got it wet and followed a video opened it put it in dried rice what could happen

So we got pet fish and my sister poured water in the fish tank and their was still water in the gage she let it go then all my ps vita got all wet it was working then it went crazy and turned off then i trided to charge but it didn't do nothing

I was playing with water balloons and I made a big one and I went inside with my water balloon and i sat down and it exploded and all the water fell on it so I cleaned and when I saw it and it was wet and I cleaned it and I turned it on and I tried my games and none of the playing bottons worked only the power,home,and volume botton worked

Well I was running by a pond and my psvita fell in and I dove in to get it the light turned on and I soon as I reached at it the light went off and it was dark outside and we couldn't get it that night so we are going back tomorrow to find it I know it won't work but atleast we tried it didn't help that it was 20 degrees tonight
