Hi @lancer63579,
Try removing the battery and then press and hold the power button operated for 30 seconds then release the button.
Reinsert the battery and check it it starts and works OK.
If it does, backup your data first just in case

Hi @lancer63579,
Does the phone indicate that the battery is charging OK when the charger is connected to the phone?
+
+Also presumably none of your data was stored on the SD Card in the phone (if it has one)?
Not sure if you were trying to wipe the cache partition after the phone had been turned on when you said "....Hold down the power and volume down bottom, nothing." but did you try doing this from when the phone is off?
If this is not what you were trying to do, try ''wiping the cache partition''¹ and check.
With the phone turned off, press and hold the Volume Down and Power buttons, (both together).
Release both when the LG logo appears, then press the Power button again to enter recovery mode.
When in Recovery mode, use the volume keys to navigate through the menu options to ''Wipe Cache Partition'' then press the Power button to confirm.
''Do not select Wipe data/factory reset'' as this will erase all your personal data from the phone.
¹ The cache partition stores temporary data and if there's corrupted data stored here, it could affect the operation of the phone
