I've also done this repair but used another battery found on Amazon. It has resolved the issue with my battery but time will tell how long it lasts. I had some trouble with the replacement of the battery only because I can't see small stuff anymore as an "older" gentleman. Other than that the replacement went fine and I was able to swap the wires as others have mentioned to ensure that the polarity of the battery was correct before installing it into the headset. Overall, this could be a cheap replacement if it gives me another 3-4 years out of the headset. Thank you for posting this.
