On the V7 with a mechanism jam, I solved it as follows:[br]
pull the red ‘Cyclone release catch’ while simultaneously levering the metallic pink cyclone upwards with a cutlery knife (inserted between the clear bin and the pink cyclone). A modest amount of force got the bin to open as normal. I then was careful to always close the top part (pushed down) before closing the bottom lid - I think I did them in the wrong order which caused the jam.
