Get a magnifying glass and look closely at the battery terminal, there will be a + and - on the cable.[br]

Check you don't have the same situation as my wife's iPod. The battery you would buy from this site has the polarity reversed, the P/N ends in 0553 and the original is 0552, it has IC chips directly on the ribbon cable.[br]

I have a question posted as to whether the 0553 will work or not, due to the IC chips I'm guessing it won't. My unanswered post has pics that demonstrate the issue:[br]
