Why won't my iPod classic charge from the wall?

After doing my first battery swap about 7 years ago, my 6th gen iPod classic only charges while connected to my PC. I've tried a number of USB wall adapters and none of them have worked since. Did another battery swap recently and same thing. [br]
Have not yet tried in my truck, so don't know if that works or not.
