Hi @gohawks4600,
It’s a bit hard to see in the image you posted but the problem is either with the ''Strip Cover'' part # [link|https://www.chromebookparts.com/product-p/trm-sng-5314-1.htm|5CB0T45070] or the ''LCD cover'' part # [link|https://www.ebay.com/p/20035708322|5CB0T70888] or both.
The suppliers shown above are examples only to give an idea of what the part looks like and what the cost may be. Search online using the ''part number only'' (for whichever part is broken) to get results for suppliers that suit you best..
Here’s the [link|https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/300e500e_chromebook_2nd_gen_series_hmm_201901.pdf|hardware maintenance manual] for the laptop.
Go to p.44 to view the ''necessary pre-requisite steps'' and then the procedure to disassemble the LCD module. This details how to remove the strip cover and also once the LCD panel is removed etc the LCD cover (aka lid) can be replaced.
-Both parts are made of some sort of plastic type material so it may be problematic if it can be repaired by gluing the broken sections as some adhesives react badly with certain types of plastics. Unfortunately you won’t know until you try them. You could use an epoxy based adhesive perhaps to mend the broken piece(s). Search online for an epoxy adhesive that is made to be used with plastics. Here’s a [link|https://resin-expert.com/en/guide/best-epoxy-for-plastic|link] that may help with this.
