I would say that your iPod touch is toast. i have never seen a iPod touch or iPhone with no touch response because of water damage start working again. But that is my experience if any one disagrees please correct me.

But that is my experience, and could be biased cause of my lack of faith in being able to fix this problem (i usually give up if the iPod is not recognizing touch at all) if any one disagrees please correct me.
