At first look I would say this is a software or operating system problem. Your decription is a little too general. “Tabs” what Tabs? Be more specific. What program, browser, what? Does it only happen in Excel, etc. On the other hand sound drivers may be corrupted. Try uninstalling the Sound drivers in Control Panel > Device Manager then after that Device Manger > Action > Scan for hardware changes. This should re-install the drivers and fix the problem. Let us know how it goes. + + O.K. that’s clearer. Go to Acer’s website, download the audio drive and install it.

This is start but your problem maybe something else. Sound drivers may have got corrupted.
