mode dial wheel is confused

I disassembled the mode dial of my pentax k200. Now it seems the camera can not be set to the proper program mode like “P” “Av” etc

The inside of the dial is a brush that triggers contacts on a contact wheel.

Is there a procedure i have to follow when putting it back together so the correct mode setting is recognized?
